Vodacom following Vodafone lead with WiMax and ADSL?

Broadband is not only viewed as a future revenue stream, but also as a high-speed gateway into the user’s home over which other services like IP-TV, Video-on-demand and triple play services can be offered.

I think MTN will loose out in the long run.

well adsl shouldnt be a problem for them seeing as they already have a network out and running

Well they have everything on their side. Customer numbers, network, sales channel, support channel and the willingness to succeed.

I have two concerns; their support is not yet robust; they tend to charge as high as they can plus a bit.

As a result of latter, I doubt whether they'd bring ADSL unlimited cap, at 8Mbps for R200/pm.

I am disappointed that MTN isnt that agressive regarding their broadband stratgey, but should be itneresting what Vodacom can do regarding their ADSL offerings... They need to be cheaper and more unique to actually be successful.

However M-Web and TelkomInternet are the two largest providers and yeah, they just suck, so maybe that isnt actually it...

soosh!!! Dont tell them they can rip their customers off because they have brand power :D
