Just when you thought there were no more marbles left to be lost,,,
"This is no joke ... there are some people who think this [freeze] will not succeed because they say there are empty shelves," Mugabe told supporters at the Zanu-PF national headquarters in Harare.

"We are saying to all factory owners you must produce. If you don't produce we certainly will seize the factories," Mugabe said to loud cheers from supporters.

The veteran Zimbabwe leader said his government was still not satisfied with current price levels, adding that he wanted even lower prices to cushion people from inflation.

Mugabe again accused businesses of raising prices as part of a wider plot by former colonial power Britain to remove him from power and rejected suggestions that the price freeze was illegal.

He said Zimbabweans should alert a special unit of police, army and intelligence operatives formed to enforce price controls of businesses hoarding or unfairly increasing prices. More than 200 business people, including a Zanu-PF senator, have been arrested for ignoring the ban on price hikes.

If I was cynical I'd wonder if deep down many of them didnt want to know Bob's secret recipe for tyranny.

IMO he should go ahead! He should do anything he wants... Should expidite the outcome and then we'll be rid of him. Would be nice to see him ripped limb from limb on TV. Would send such a nice message to other African politicians.

The problem is when Zim collapses the SA government's going to be too stupid to seal the border...
 
Liquidate assets, trade from across the border.
or
Take the capital if there is any and let the government run the company at a loss.
Either way, these people have no future.

The problem with the zim collapse is that in the end there will be mad bob and his 10 - 20 cronies up in zim and everyone else will down here in our already overpopulated country.

It is strange the Sadam Hussein was hunted down because of all the crimes he committed etc. But Mugabe, is left to do as he pleases. For some or other cynical reason he is handled with gloves. It just blows my mind. But yes, this is the world we live in today. Some people are prosecuted to the full extent of the law while others are left to do as much damage as possible, without the world even batting an eye.

Good idea .. seize the factories. That way the entire country can seize good an proper.
How on earth do you educate the common Zimbabwean? I can understand how they think this is a good thing.
