The government is to busy worrying about blue lights on cars, numberplates, name changes, party planning and growing beetroot for HIV victims.
In all the years I worked as a bouncer I met only 2 cops that I couldn't bribe. Both of them went on and have relatively senior positions within the SAPD at the moment. As for the rest, every last one of them has their price. We referred to cops as The Department of Corruption
guys stop blaming the police for being corrupt, blame the government for not paying them as they should, they are one of the key player in society and earn minimun wage to put their life on the line for us
look at the US, cops get paid really well
u want to stop police corruption
PAY THEM MORE
i'll be honest and say if i was cop and i got offered money i would take to live better
What would bouncers need to bribe cops for anyway?

We must really stop blaming everything and anyone else for things that go on in the country. If I murder someone, must I blame my overbearing mother? If I steal, must I blame my boss for not paying me enough? If I stalk children and molest them, must I blame people for actually having kids?
Either you are corrupt or you are not. It doesn't matter if you get paid enough or not.
You have to be really careful not to generalise here... I did that for years and really thought our entire local station was rotten to the core.
After joining the local CPF a few years ago - and actually meeting many of the cops up the way.... I find there are many who are pretty wonderful.
Sure there are always the Rotten Apples (as our Commissioner calls them), lurking about at most Stations but dont generalise guys....
