Sexaul Harassment, where is the line?

Ok so I read this story and it got me thinking about where we draw the line in these things.
... an allegation that while they were at a hotel in Klerksdorp he molested [her] with the words: "I've got the hots for you."

Tsamai has claimed that on June 2 in Klerksdorp, Harding approached her with a view to sexual intimacy.

She claimed also that Harding phoned her with the request to have sex with him in his hotel room, and that he told her: "I've got the hots for you."

So the way I read this, is that this chappy had the hots for this chick and approached her over the phone with the view to getting jiggy.

If she was not keen, all she has to do is say No! Instead from what I read she decided that No is not enough and is obviously so freaked out by the idea of getting jiggy, that she claims sexual harassement.

If the guy would not take No as an answer and kept going and pushing and phoning and all that, fine, it's harassment, if not surely she is over reacting?

From what I read in the article it seems she is over reacting.
 
...i dunno... he looks dodgy... but I get your point... I tried a line like that once with a work collegue... it worked though :p
 
These days, you look at at woman longer than she likes it is harrasment :D

The reporting is a bit unclear. How would you imply that you are requesting sex over the phone without saying anything and THEN saying "I've got the hots for you"
 
Its a tuff one, Sure making remarks like "got the hots for you" might be a little personal and unless she was actually interested she could maybe get little upset.

Maybe she thought she's going to make an example out of this oakie.
But then again i think she wanted some money out of this experience.

A manager in our office recently mentioned to a couple of guys around a few beers at an office function that he thought pregnant chicks were hot.
Unfortunately this was within earshot of one of his pregnant staff members.
Needless to say, Monday morning first thing manager hauled in for DH - took 2 weeks of meetings and wasted production time to sort out :mad: in spite of the fact that the dumb@ss biotch was clearly eavesdropping on the conversation :)
 
Isnt it strange all these sexual harassment cases pop up in political parties? How often do we hear cases like this outside of politics? All too easy to get your way in business these days, just claim sexual harassment, eliminate someone in the company and get an increase to keep quiet. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying sexual harassment doesnt really happen... but how often is it just a BS story?

There is no clear line. Usually. When they do set a clear line it is generally very far past being ridiculous.

Not too long ago they were seriously proposing that a man would have to prove a woman had consented. If he couldn't provide proof it would automatically be accepted as date rape. Sensible women's groups came out against this. In essence men would have had to carry around consent forms, get them duly witnessed etc.

Unfortunately these things are not black and white. They have to be handled case by case, and there needs to be a reasonable burden of proof.

You really need to have some sort of relationship with a person before you put them on the spot. How people can mix business and "pleasure" like this without the first thought of long term relationships I have no idea. Obviously he was not thinking straight, otherwise he would have known that it was inappropriate to ask for sex. What's the rush anyhow? Why coudn't he let her make the move if he was ready?

Difference is politicians think they're untouchable (so to speak :D) so asking for sex was probably nothing major for this guy.

Strange he almost lost his job over getting some head, and GW and Co wage $12 Bn per month wars for stuff they never found.

Funny how its only women who complain about sexual harrasment in the workplace.....

Then when they cant get a bonk they have to go to therapy to find out why...
