Best to ask them to install a new line, and cancel the old ISDN line as soon as the new line is up and running (if you can afford it).

annex.b =adsl+isdn possible

sa only supports annex.a

Convert the IDSN line to a Analog Line and then apply for ADSL...
That way you can keep your phone number :D

You have to pay for the conversion of the line from ISDN to ADSL. R425 was what they quoted me. I cancelled my account with telkom - FOREVER.

So now you go for 3G Wireless. Seeing that you wont have copper connected to your house.

in SA Telkom upgrades the analog line to a digital one. Digital being ISDN or ADSL, only difference is the end equipment at either end for asymmetrical or symmetrical frequencies.

@crass: Did u come right with your ADSL yet? I was on ISDN and went directly to ADSL... bad idea, as it turned out... months of being jerked around by telskum... See my sig or [edit:]the self install thread (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=49841&page=16). Also see ic's advice to me about converting to normal analogue first...
