I have the Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 broadband router and the Netgear DG834GT ADSL router...

Would it be possible for me to use the WRT54GL as the router in this equasion? Since it's not an ADSL modem router, I assume I need to connect it to an ADSL modem of sorts...
The Netgear DG832GT can operate in modem or router mode, I assumed I could put it into modem mode then use the WRT54GL as the router....
but...
when in modem mode, I can connect to the internet using a Windows PPPOE connection, but can't get the WRT54GL to connect using PPPOE...

I really want to be able to have a router (for the average joe) but also connect using PPPOE from my own workstation using another account.... the Netgear doesn't do half-bridge mode, only one or the other... am I snookered with this setup?

What can I connect to the broadband port on the Linksys? Can I connect a lan port from the Netgear to this port?

Ok, it worked, simply put, the broadband port is just another RJ45 port and needs to be connected to the same lan segment as the netgear router... the router is then put into modem mode... that's it
