Lol, this isn't really news though? We already know where South Africa sits in the broadband grand scheme of things.
I hate SA's tech scene! We are supposed to be up there DAMN IT!!! We have clever folks in this country. Government just needs to enable the freedom of these clever minds to move more free and get us back on the map of leading nations. This situation sucks! We can do it easy peasy of only the market was freed.

A seriously skewed result. Since the majority of people that use a fast connection go with the cheapest on not the fastest. So the majority of Telkom users will be on 384 kbps whereas there'll be a lot more 512k and above users on the IS connection. IS definitely isn't fastest. They should incorporate average LATENCY into this result.

Hmmm. we dont have that many clever ppl in this country considering the alarming shortage of engineers and technical capacity... We cant compete with the koreans, japanese, indians or the americans, but atleast Africa..
