mrs chiskop is using a d-link pcmcia card card to connect to our wireless network, only thing is its really eating her CPU cycles. When she's not connected, CPU is 2 -10 % utilised; as soon as she attempts to connect it ramps up to >95%. (in both cases with just Firefox and Outlook opened).
I can't remember what's on there at the moment, but its a reasonable two year-old laptop.
Anyone have any ideas why its so heavy on the cpu, or on alternative ways to connect?
