Neverwinter Nights 2 or Lord of the Rings Online?

im going to buy either lotro or nwn2 but dont know which one to go for.

advice?
 
Well they're both completely different games!

One's mainly an offline rpg (Neverwinter nights 2) and the other is a MMORPG (LOTRO)

And you have to keep in mind you have to pay each month to play LOTRO...
 
I'd also go for LOTRO.
Haven't heard anyone raving about NWN2 yet, especially online.

NWN 2 = Oblivion/Morrowind/Diablo [you pay once, rest is for free]

LOTRO = World of Warcraft/EverQuest [you pay for box and then pay $15 per month to play]
 
to the OP: --You cant compare apples with oranges as they are two completely different models as previous posters said.

Lotro online is obviously a Online game only and will rush you something like R 400 to buy the product and then R100-110 month on CC & more on prepaid. (It a bore for me that has played most MMO's... might be different to you)

NWN2 is a standalone game with free online multiplayer which will propably cost you R 279 or so once off. The single player game is not bad since its up to patch 1.06 now, but not many Persistant World's (online) that worthwhile out yet.

My take: If you want to go play online mmo's get yourself the free version of Anarchy Online which although its 6 years old still great fun to play. :)
 
Neverwinter Nights 2...

LOTRO is a nice game but graphics are cheesy... WOW kicks ass graphically but seems to be aimed at cretins and gets dull very quickly...

EVE Online is the best balanced for long term playability and actual enjoyment...
