Google cuts cookie time for privacy

All users should block third party cookies and delete all of them either every day, week, or if the spot leaching
 
There will be a lot of media coverage on this one. I am sure the privacy advocates are wondering why full anonymous search isn't active by default.

wtf?

I think that it should be more like 2 months! I mean, nowadays people format and reinstall their PC's once a year. So who cares that your cookie will expire after 2 years ?!?!?!

1 month should also be enough... It does renew for active users, so 99.9% of users should would not be affected...

New policy. Please. Make headlines. Please.
