Microsoft ups the ante with HD DVD price cut

In advance of the street date for the "Heroes: Season 1" HD DVD boxed set, Xbox LIVE members will be able to download for free the show's pilot episode in high definition for a limited time. Members will also be able to download trailers, teaser scenes and other promotional materials highlighting the "Heroes: Season 1" boxed set on HD DVD.

This HD-DVD XBox add-on price cut for South Africa as well? COME ON!!
 
It would help if they let you choose the five movies. I'm not interested most of the drek that gets included in these bundles.
 
Get your facts straight

The XBox 360 and it's companion HD-DVD add on is NOT the least expensive way to enter high definition entertainment. Do the math:

Xbox 360 $399
HD-DVD $179

Total $578

Sony PS3 with 60g hard drive = $499

AND Sony has a promotion for 5 free Blu-ray movies until 9/30/07.

So who's got the best deal now???
 
None of these deals ever apply to South Africa....so why are we even bothered?
