If you have multiple accounts you are going to have a different username and password for each. Why not get one account with say a 10GB cap?
But mostly it's just private surfing on office time - nice if it's part of your core duties, not so nice if it's not.
Yep, [searchforum]Smoothwall[/searchforum].org or its derivative [searchforum]IPCop[/searchforum].org/me huggles my smoothie
Allows up to 5 different adsl accounts, and it's easy to switch between them without any hassles.
I think you missed the point of the article in your 1st paragraph, and then hit on the point in your 2nd paragraph: the problem is essentially that TelkodemonopoliesHindernet is a crap ADSL-ISP.This guy should have done a little more research before posting this article. He seems to have expected Telkom to switch between his 3 Telkom accounts for him (when they get capped). This is impossible unless Telkom hacks into his router.
What he probably wanted to purchase, was 3GB top-ups, something Telkom doesn't offer (which I think it should offer).
Sorry just thought that part was brilliant! In the past few weeks, our supposedly ‘Always-On’ Internet has experienced more ups and downs than a White House intern during the Bill Clinton presidency.
It is one and the same company - TelkodemonopoliesHindernet is NOT a separate registered company, the same applies to Telkodemonopolies-SAIX.I agree with quite a few points on the article but I still think this is a horribly written article with very little actual knowledge of the subject and therefore missing the real problems. The whole thing just comes off as whinny and poorly researched, it's hard to know if the author is complaining about Telkom-Internet or Telkom.

My impression, of the article, is that the ADSL 512kbits/s line was not 'always-on', and that the article started out being a complaint about that issue, and was extended to include the rant about how the very same company that supplies the line and the ADSL-ISP accounts, forces its customers to use multiple ADSL ISP accounts which means having to muck about with changing the account details at the router-level, instead of just having one combined account.Maybe he means that the author doesn't quite make it clear whether his actual line or bandwidth carrier is experiencing erratic behaviour? It is one and the same company - TelkodemonopoliesHindernet is NOT a separate registered company, the same applies to Telkodemonopolies-SAIX.
