Hey all,
I just updated from Fedora Core 6 to Fedora Core 7, this took me from kernel 2.6.18 to 2.6.21...
And wow it's made an enormous difference with my Huawei E220!
Apart from no longer mounting it as a disk.. the speed increase is incredible..
I just got 1304Kbps on speedtest.net (MTN) which is basically double what I've ever gotten before!!
My max up till now was around 650Kbps..
So unless MTN did something to the local tower that coincided exactly with my updating, I must presume the difference comes from the new/updated driver...
Anyway, just thought I'd post this in case there's anyone left on sub 2.20 kernels.. The update is well worth it..
