iTunes can't play podcasts while they're downloading?

I downloaded iTunes today since I found a bunch of podcasts worth subscribing to.

So I load the podcasts in iTunes and find out that I have to wait for the entire thing to download before I can play it? But if I play the podcast straight from it's website then whatever part of the podcast has been downloaded plays.

Is there any way to get iTunes to play the part that's already downloaded instead of having to wait for the WHOLE thing to download?
