Network traffic?

I was browsing through our router's features today when I saw "Force IP-MAC mapping" under the LAN tab. Seeing as I've always liked using the 10.0.0.111 IP address (always use it at a LAN) I thought it might be a good idea to force the router to give me the IP address 10.0.0.111 based on my MAC address.

I set it up no problem, rebooted the router and my PC and lo and behold my IP address was 10.0.0.111 :D However, while I'm able to browse the web and access our network without any hassles, none of my programs report any Internet traffic, only the local network's. If I copy a 4GB file to my server it registers fine (upload @ 9MB/s), but if I download a 100MB file it doesn't even pick up the download, which is usually a download of about 100KB/s. I use G15NetSpeed to monitor my network bandwidth and the "Network Interface Statistic Monitor Widget".

I've tried resetting the settings to get a plain DHCP address (which worked), however I still couldn't see any Internet traffic. Anybody know what's wrong and how to fix it? I've gone back to using 10.0.0.111 as my IP address.

Router : Gigabyte GN-BR01G
Network : Onboard NVIDIA nForce Ethernet Adapter
 
Fixed it! Router reset, PC backup restore to about 7 days before it happened and everything is working properly now. Thank you Acronis :)
 
Try and set your DHCP range (on the router) to something outside 10.0.0.111 (10.0.0.5 to 10.0.0.100) and restart router and pc. Change ip to a static (i'm asuming you are on auto acquire) outside dhcp range, but not 10.0.0.111 and restart. Change back to auto acquire and restart. Might work.
 
I've already reset the router and restored my PC back to the time when it was still using DHCP. Everything worked fine, network traffic was shown correctly. But it just stopped working again (I didn't change anything this time, I promise :D) and I've tried using different cables, reinstalling my network adapter drivers etc etc...
