Using electric cabling to route signal?

Anyone know of a device that allows one to send your broadband "signal" via you electric cabling. I think I saw someone discussing this before, but cannot find the thread.

So if my modem/router is upstairs, I can basically "plug" into any power socket downstairs to go online?

ps. dont know if my explanation makes sense

Tested it last year for a client - not this precise model, but similar from Netgear. Worked quite well. It was this one, coming to think of it:

Problem was, at the time, it was cheaper to have network points installed.

doesn't the "line" have to be on the same fuse cos afaik EOP can't jump fuses

Miro sells the Edimax and the Linksys - they're around the R600-R900 mark if I recall correctly.

do u guys know if u can get a tester for this ?

other than plugging 2 of these in and check if network works ?
