Hi Guys
I would like to know:
If you could afford 1 of the following, which would you rather have.
1. BMW
2. Lexus
3. Audi
4. Honda
5. Ford
6. Toyota
Now with this I'm aiming for the Luxury/Performance classes.
Not the Fiesta, 150i ect. Talking sedan cars here people.
I would take Audi above all. My second I would guess a Honda Accord.

I also like the Japanese cars.
However since I got my Polo the VW thing is not that bad. And I like the new Audi's. Audi IMHO out classes the BMW range by far. If I had a choice between a brand new M3 or a RS4.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Audi will be in my garage ;)

Sir, I congratulate you. The only thig wrong with your post is that it should read: "Once you've driven..." ;)
BTW: VW is not in the same class as these cars that is not my opinion it is a fact that is dictated my the auto trade. Stop trying to lump your pimped Golfs with real cars its embarassing.
BBTW: Audi is freakin kickin ass nowdays ...RS4, RS8 (straight out of iRobot!!) ...theyre really generating some stunning cars, design is out of this world - they need to focus on 'bang for your buck' now IMHO.

Interesting results. Didn't expect BMW to fall in last place of the German Big Three. I own a Mercedes and am quite happy :-)
If money was literally no problem I would go Audi. That being said I don't like spending lots on cars that just depreciate anyways. Currently I would love to get rid of my old Astra and buy a new decent Honda.

I love the Passat or VW cc. One came driving up behind me one evening and I saw all the pretty lights all over the place behind me. Had to slow down and get in behind him to figure out what car he was driving. :)
I'm driving the VW Golf 6 GTI and the car is amazing. It gives out 8kW more power than its predecessor while reducing fuel consumption by almost 3L/100km. The first car I've driven that gives me over 10km/l.
I usually drive a car until the warrantee expires, but with this one, I think I'll try to extend the warrantee to 5 years as I don't see any other car in that price class to replace mine with. Nothing speaks to me (except the new GTI 35 edition of course).
If I should however upgrade from VW, my vote would be for Audi. It is a decent sporty car and not so much a status-symbol like BMW. Just go for the A4 or up. The last time I checked, the A3 / A3 Sportback still had the old spec engines (same as in the Golf 5 GTI). I didn't have any issues with mine, but I've heard some horror stories about those engines once they go over 110000km plus the fuel consumption sucks. The A4 is available in the new spec engine (155kw), same as the Golf 6 GTI.
If I was over 50, I might have considered Merc :)
Volvo... their slogan is "Volvo for Life"... that is very accurate :)
I've always liked Honda... good quality car, but they don't turbo charge their engines and I'm done with normal aspirated cars. It's hard to go back once you've driven a turbo car.
