..offshore programming...

I want to do offshore programming. Basically stay in South-Africa, connect to a remote computer in say, the US/ UK/where ever, then do my work there and get paid by them. The obvious advantage is that I can connect from anywhere (and thus stay anywhere), but still earn a decent salary, plus there would be no commuting.

At the moment I don't really care whether it's through a contracting house, or dealing directly with the client (although this would be preferred as they pay in foreighn currency). I would just like to start working like this. Experience? 8 years in PowerBuilder and SQL, plus MCSD.NET qualified with C#, XML Web Services & SQL2K.

Who here knows someone that can help me out?

please let me know how u go with this ... as I would like to try it out as well ... have looked at getafreelancer.com .... but most of the projects have really limited budgets ... and the guys from india always bid really low amounts .... which makes things not so worth while
