Hi

I have an Excel sheet and I want to sort it by a specific column, but I don't want just the values in that column to get sorted, I also want the entire line associated with the column values to get sorted correspondingly.

How do I do that?

Select all the columns, then go to sort data... I have excel 2007, so can't give you the exact menu button/option.

Just hold control, and click column A, B, C, D...

Or drag a box around ALL the data you want to sort, thn goto sort.

Select all your data and go Data> Sort.

Just remember that at the bottom it asks if you have a column header or not.

As long as there is data in all columns you can just stand at the top cell (first data entry) and do the sort without having to select all data

Yep, it automatically highlights the cells under the headings:) It works even if there is no data in some columns but has a column heading;)
