Just finished uninstalling pre-installed Vista and putting XP on the Fujitsu Amilo Li 1 1818 Notebook. I've downloaded all the needed drivers from fujitsu website but can't seem to come right with audio. When i go to XP control panel > sound and audio devices > Audio, everything is kinda disabled, can't change or select. I've installed the drivers with no probs... Device manager is not showing any warning or red marks, not sure what's up here...

Sound: Realtek ALC883 Audio Codec!

Oh! it took me five days to figure out how to detect the SATA HD to install XP, what a pain but learning curve

Enjoy
Code:
ftp://202.65.194.212/pc/audio/WDM_R173.zip
IF it can't find the device (above installer) than run Windows update then run the installer again.
Will work on any Realtek Sound device (Unified Architecture)

Hi Synergy, i do have this driver and i ran windows update and reinstalled it with no change. It shows Audio Codes, Legacy Audio Driver, but no Realtek High Definition Audio driver on device manager. Not show what's the solution here....

Not winning here... Will send the notebook to Fujitsu! I have even integrated the driver with KB888111 hotfix but still no luck

Thats usually the case...If you got Vistasiness Bu, Siemens is obligated to trade it for XP Pro at your request.
