IBM!!!! AND where to find a 12" laptop sleeve
I'm just very happy at the moment. About 3 years ago, I switched to IBM/Lenovo machines on recommendation of a friend. First I changed my laptop, then my PC and then got a better laptop! Haven't had a days trouble with either machine, everything just works. I've even grown close to the blue enter key!
This week, I got my self a demo-model Thinkpad 12" X60s machine...Figure it's ultra portable, so really nice when I'm moving around a lot with my laptop. Seeing as it's not my primary business machine, I thought it's time to load Vista. It is the way forward, so I might as well start getting used to it. So off I go loading my Home Premium version of Vista and everything seems fine.
Restart the laptop, and the sound drivers, volume buttons, fingerprint reader et al didn't work. Oh no! I logged onto the Lenovo support website looking for Vista Drivers - there were hundreds. Cursing this huge mess I got myself into - I found a program called ThinkVantage System Update. Loaded the program, accepted the license terms and conditions and viola! It picked up the machine type and model, downloaded all the drivers from Lenovo, including the system applications like ThinkVantage Access Connections and Client Security Center and the whole machine installed and configured itself! I'm very impressed! I really like the ThinkVantage software package...makes everything work so well on the computer.
Now: Does anyone know where I can get a 12" laptop sleeve from? (Without breaking the bank?)
