I added a new pc to my netgear router dg834gt. I am currently using a laptop wirelessly with the router and it works fine but my new pc can't connect. the network card LED on the pc and the LED for the pc on the router light up so the connection is fine but why can't i connect to any site with my pc?

Are you trying to access the router through the new pc? If so, check that there is no proxy configured in the browser, this stops it from getting to the router, you can always enable it again afterwards

can u ping the rutr from pc?
DHCP is automatic IP assignment which the router gives, I don't understand why are you trying to ping 192.168.0.1, just set your TCP/IP settings to automatically get an ip address, it's not the same as connecting via lan.
Plug the pc into the router via ethernet cable, use automatic IP and automatic everything else and it's done
If you want to use manual ip's you have to setup the router first, if the router is default settings, it should use DHCP.
