Hi all

Vista rejects the installation of DAP and GetRight. I'm looking for a download manager so that I can start and restart downloads from ftp servers. Some of the files I'm downloading are big and take a while e.g. 2 gb and sometimes the connection dips and I have to start over. Any suggestions?

hey, you need to disable that Data Execution Protection thing to install getright or dap, also had that problem with getright till i disabled that

The answer is pretty simple actually. I have listed the steps below:
1) Format hard drive
2) Install Windows XP
3) Install DAP
4) Take new Windows Vista Frisby to the park
5) Have fun playing frisby with your own or a stray dog while you wait for your downloads to complete.

Simple as that!:D

LOL, it amuses me to see how people diss Vista and always say ' thesolution to all vista probs = format and install XP'... There is nothing wrong with Vista. A poor tradesman blames his tools... You will be using it soon enough ;)

FileZilla is a nice FTP tool that you can use that supports resuming aswell
