I used to use Musicmatch Jukebox to manage/rename/name my mp3 files.

I've downloaded a few albums and since switching to Vista I haven't been in the mood to sort everything out.

I see Musicmatch is now Yahoo music player, which sucks and I'm not going to use it. You can't even download a full setup file, the setup files get downloaded upon installation, like Java, so it's really slow, even on ADSL.

Is there any freeware/shareware application you prefer to manange/rename your Mp3 files?

Basically, I need to be able to edit the ID tags and click a button which renames the file names according to the ID tags, like Musicmatch did ;)

Hey teraside in the same boat as you, used Musicmatch for years, been playing around with various jukeboxes in the last month, busy playing with Zune works with the album art and all the other details.
 
I use creative's mediaworks 5. Not sure if it'll do what you want to though. I just use it mass change gendre's & so on.
 
Itunes is free and does the job nicely also look at songbird (firefox guys did this)

I'm in the process on converting my entire collection to uniform encoding & loudness. It's taking forever. Think 30sec per song to convert. So at a couple of thousand songs...
