What is the best isp for Online Gaming

Hi all

I have just applied for 385k adsl. Now I am shoppin for the best ISP for gaming for WoW and CSS.

Please could you guys help looking at the following atm:

OpenWeb 1gb Unshaped
Axxess 1gb Unshaped

Are there any other good ones ?

Its 384k dsl not 385 :P and with regards to gaming an unshaped account is a must...

Webafrica is pretty decent as they allow you to switch from a saix to verizon backbone by altering your username on their multi realm accounts (not sure if this is the correct name), so if saix is slow you can put a .v at the end of your name and use verizon and vice versa, makes sure you have a choice.

Openweb primarily IS connections which wouldnt work for games although they do offer Saix based acc's but I cannot comment on these since I only use their IS offerings.

I'm with imaginet(shaped) my WoW latency is 500-800ms.

so you rate webafrica. Also looking at SAOL atm. anyone playing wow, what is your latency using a unshaped account.
 
Any SAIX based account should be much of a muchness. Webafrica is very good, but I just changed to Cybersmart because it's a lot cheaper.

You can get the "all inclusive" ADSL384 1Gb for R169 a month.
 
Ok so I have been looking at unshaped account and the cheapest I have found is R 108 pm for 1gb through Gamco. Are there any that offer you a additional local cap ?

WebAfrica does have the advantage should you want to buy an unshaped (or anything else for that matter) account from another ISP. After all - Cybersmart
will degrade your service should we find that you are using another ISP so that we can give better service to our loyal customers.
