XfX 8600GT XXX Edition

Rather get the normal version and just use ati tool to overclock to the same speed.

No point paying for something you can do yourself.

Well worth getting real depends on what you use your pc for and what is acceptable gaming performance to you.

And how do you play your games max settings and what screen do you use?

If your a serious gamer this card isn't worth it.

If your looking for a multimedia card it's a good option.

Just needs to be better than my 7600GS for gaming and I do a lot of photoshop work as well.

Not a serious gamer at all but do play quite a bit. What is better in the price range?

I don't think there's much better in the price range, but the X1950 Pro/GT is good, there's a GT at take2.co.za for R1250 now, good price.

my XFX 8600GT 'Fatl1ty Edition' just scored 6098 3d Mark 06 points, it too is factory overclocked.. 620mhz core 800mhz memory (x2 DDR = 1600mhz) overclocked the card using ntune to 748mhz core 1998mhz memory.... funny enough runs better with 64X XP than normal 32 bit, maybe taking advantage of AMD CPU runs very sweet;)

I've posted this before.. but highly recommend this card above all other 8600 series for your price range of around R1500-R1700. The GTS version is 500 bucks more, I overclock my card to those specs anyway.. and its all passive cooled no noise ;)

Enjoy the Rugby!
