Hi,

What is the range of this? I've connected a PC to my TV which sits 4m away from me. Would these work?

Also what batteries do they use? Are they rechargable? How long would they last? I use the PC about 2hrs per week ...

Rechargeables works a treat, although their output voltage is slightly lower than normal batteries.

Saves you a pound on batteries. :D

I've had the same batteries in my wireless keyboard for about a year now - I use it about 2 hours a week at most.

Buy twice as many rechargeable as the device takes and you'll always have a spare set. The UNiROSS HYBRIOs take about 7 hours to charge and they hold it for a lot longer than standard rechargeable.
 
I just went through this process in our boardroom.

Landed up buying the MX5000 as it has the best BT range which is up to 20m.

The KB takes regular batteris which can be replaced with rechargeables and the mouse has built in rechargeables.

I would go for 2700mh battery as they will last longer.

I'm also using UniRoss 2700 rechargables - last a long time, up to a week on a single charge with about 2-5 hours use per day...

My rf wireless mouse and keyboard work fine - my PC is in the room backing onto our lounge - the signal goes through the wall as well as the wall unit and a further 2 meters to the couch, so 4 meters clear space shouldn't be a problem...
 
Wow ... keyboards are pricey :/

Average wireless seems about R500.00. Hardly any of the places I went sell the Microsoft keyboards. Anyone know the price of the Microsoft Desktop 700 ... ?

I want pure wireless with no hotkeys/programmable keys etc - and that seems the best :/
 
Just bought a Logitech EX10 or something ... cheap wireless and it managed .... 1 meter :/
 
C'mon who know this stuff nicely?

I now hear you get 3 types : 27mhz ... 2.4ghz ... Bluetooth. Majority of them are 27mhz which go to about 2 meters. The 2.4ghz apaprantly will do 4m alright with Bluetooth up to 10 metres ...

This sound right?
