MBP maybe up for sale

Morning all,

My MBP (17" CD, 2.16, 2Gb RAM, 120Gb HDD) might be up for sale in about 6 weeks' time. It will be 16 months old then and in excellent condition (with a brand new battery courtesy of Apple IMC).
Reason for possible sale: Upgrading to the MBP C2D :D

What do you guys think I can sell it for.

I don't think I can even get R2k for mine. People think because they can buy a cheap-ass Mecer low spec Celeron notebook new for R3000 (and neglect to mention Game/Makro/Hypermarket makes you sign up for the R300 p/m Mweb dial up to subsidise it), R2000 is too much for a fairly high-end Turion64, 2GB Ram, dedicated gfx, 120gb disc, high-res monitor and all the bells&whistles.

Someone had one on eBay - later model than mine with the 2.2Ghz chip - bid starting at £100 and reserve at £250. It didn't make reserve...

Sad sad...

Keep it - I always find a use for my older machines.
 
With all your posts, how did you find time to go out and take some pics? ;)

I actually recognize most of those areas! My geo-skills are tight.

MBP... post on craigs list (do you et that in PE).

What is it - three revisions behind the current model?
 
2 or 3 ... not sure ... got it in July last year, and IIRC the C2Ds came out in October
 
So in dog years you should be thinking about euthanasia but that R2 seems reasonable. :p


Probably worth about R8k here in SA.
