what is the known issues with finder? is it the speed? i've picked up that sometimes it just doesnt work when looking for things on my ext usb hdd.
 
Are you thinking about spotlight?
 
ffs! yes i am! i just phoned some one and couldnt remember who i was phoning. not my day!

but yes, finder is a bit outdated i think. it will be one of the core enhancements of leopard im sure
 
If you're looking for a spotlight replacement (and oh so much more) check out quicksilver. :D
 
I like quicksilver, but I think I haven't set it up properly ... when searching, it returns arb websites instead of files I know are there :confused:

These arb websites - are they your bookmarks (Safari and/or firefox)?
 
Odd - its got to be pulling them from somewhere.
 
Will check against my favourites when it happens again ... it is possible though, as my favourites (much like contacts) have been following me around since 1997 :D
 
Guys, what's the verdict? Will Leopard give better multi-core/proc performance than the current OS? Is it worth upgrading? The current MacOSX is pretty good.
