Download Speed: 199kbps
Upload Speed: 70kbps
QoS: 89%
Jitter: 23.1ms
Packet Loss: 0.0%
MOS Score: 3.4

Wouldn't an international speed test be more representative of the real situation?

I'm getting ~8KB/s

Currently getting a -67dBm EDGE signal from Cell C.

@Conspirator: Yes, I know you think Cape Town is a remote area (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?p=1259683#post1259683), but it's amazing how many cars with GP plates manage to find their way down here for summer holidays. I think next winter Cape Town should move and not leave a forwarding address.

You just have to read the responses to your last thread to see how 'popular' it is and how bad the service is for us.

Not promoting. Just sharing. I understand there are issues. I also had issues a while ago, but since I started using them again I have very little issues.

Just a note, I am not promoting them. I am simply posting my experience in the right section of the forum. I believe Virgin is aware of other user experiences and should fix it.

In short, I am not at all promoting them. If I was this would be all over the forum. ;)

Maybe I am just lucky. BTW I am using a Nokia N70 to interface.

Well Virgin in down for the whole of Thursday including ATM. Nokia PC Suite is connected but the web pages will not show it face, just a white,blank screen all of the time. For the last 2 or 3 months it was a pleasure using Virgin up till last night.
What happen between Tuesday till now?
