Well, call me crazy, but I tend to prefer that suspected criminals are actually brought before a court and a judge who can throw them in prison if they're guilty.Sorry to disrupt the hand-wringing, but you do realise that the reason the probe was dropped was because there was another one already underway?
It would have been preferable that they dropped the internal home affairs probe in favour of the public protector's probe rather than the other way round, though.
Let's see what the National Assembly's home affairs committee's inquiry actually uncovers and what actions they take.
