from the horses mouth (good 'ol Alan) on Wednessday at a conference I attended, Vodacom radio is 'in-the-pipeline', look for products like i-AdMe (if i remember the name correctly) and a almost certain tie-in with google before that.
so there appear to be some contradiction between these two, whose right? dunno...
don't get me wrong, the sense I got was it's going to happen, just not-quite-around-the-corner.
