playing BF2 after cap

hi all - friend has a IS 2Gig(int)+28Gig(local) account

Has reached 2Gig(int) cap - now can't play bf2 on local servers because the login thing is international.

Any suggestion please.

Yup get a prepaid international 1GB account and run route sentry, there are plenty of posts on here about route sentry if you need to know how it works.

I personally run my bf2 off of an axxess 3gb local only unshaped account and it works perfectly with a 1GB international one for authentication.

see if www.zagame.co.za cant help you out they offer 2 accounts so you can make use of routesentry.

erm u dont need an int account..? i play bf2 with only my local account and no problems with authenticating.

I should prob add that I'm with OpenWeb, maybe that makes all the difference.

Umm no, it authenticates through a server based in Holland so it would require some form of international, that and the BFHQ tab in the main menu is a link to the main authentication and ranking server which is not in SA.

well still i manage to do it all with just a local account. thing is with OpenWeb their local accounts do include some international capacity so i guess thats why it works for me?

Its quite possible it has some int connectivity with it. You sure its not a 1GB int + 9GB local or similar account? I tried today with my local account only and it didnt connect, but who knows these days :D

heh no dude its the OW 30GB local package. works a charm :P for example in STALKER i can normally load the server list. never any problems with bf2.

ummm no if it was then i prob wouldnt be able to connect at all.. not sure about OW's policy with local accounts.
