New firmware for Nokia E90 has been released!

Nokia Indonesia have release new FW for Indonesian E90 which need to be done via NPC. I'm now running a 7.38.0.2 which have tons of update from previous FW. Noted the highly anticipated aGPS for E90

Thanks to the people that emailed in about the new firmware 7.38.0.2 (with A-GPS) for the Nokia E90, but it seems that this might be an interim release in a few markets, it certainly doesn't appear on NSU in the UK. Also, my sources tell me that the official new firmware will be 7.40.0.2 - all intriguing, watch this space!

The new firmware has not been released... and the phone is still a brick.
 
I just got an email with the fixes, etc., and claiming its available from Nokia Software Updater... its not... damn plebs.
 
I can hook you up with new firmware for Asia Pacific region for E90, we have that available.

Why hurry , rather wait for the correct version to officially come available , I for one who use most of the functions amongst many others on this forum will be patient.

Too be in too much off a hurry is no good.

Post contents of this email that you mention as well as who its from .....

Thanks... I can get that one too .38 I think... but I got an email saying the FINAL is out and available through Nokia Software Updater.
 
Post who email is from and contents w.r.t E90 firmware , if its hearsay then rather not take it seriously , be patient , I am one of the few who wants it just as bad to be updated as do you but lets see what the new week brings.

Hi fismail, I have been using Asia Pacific firmware, if you can, please tell me where to get it.
 
No sign of this yet on the Nokia update page.
Anybody got any update news?
 
Did a firmware upgrade to new version 07.40.1.2

Call log still only 30 days.
Sms'es sent still only 999.
Restored backup from mem card to phone only restores applications and user settings like my customised alarms and hotkey/navikey settings and not contacts.
Contacts restored via normal pc suite restore facility.
Calendar entries NOT restored via PC Suite
Caller icon log still displays mobile phone logo for all numbers despite clearing the log.

In my case the PC-Suite backup I made restored everything but a few apps that I had to re-install. I also had re-enter serial numbers and re-register most apps.
 
Updated firmware as well.
Restored all ok from memory card.

Found it would not logon to network (MTN) - switched on/off twice then logged on.
Signal strength seems lower/drops network fairly often (did not happen to same extent previously).

I can't say that I notice anything different except for assisted GPS that has been added. The initial GPS lock still takes a long time though. I don't know if anyone else has noticed anything new.
