For those of you that have never heard of Day Of Defeat: Source [DODS] before it is a WW2 class based military type shooter running on the Source engine.
It's like Counter-Strike Source but in 1942
you play a a number of scenario's from Bomb planting to point capture. there is alot of extra stuff that seemed to never make it in CSS like helmets flying of your head when you get hit in the head, explosions cause shell shock & defness, if you holding a grenade and you die, its going to still blow giving that last "suprise" to the enemy!
The great thing about DODS is that there is no 3:00 min round, like CSS there is a set time 20min in which to play a map if you die you will respawn with in 10 seconds making it a pretty fast game.
when playing you have a choice between the USA or Germany they eatch have 6 classes with thier own strenths and weakneses
for example: the US M1 garand has semi-auto but less damage compaired to the Bolt action kar98 which is almost 1 hit one kill, but reloading is slow.
I was wondering of any one here would be interrested to play, SGS has the servers but we don't realy have the people, our comunity is small but with your help we can make it grow!! unfortunately CSS is the more popular game
