Ok there is a R200 price difference.

The one major thing I noticed is that while the 20" is the same width (1440x1050), just a bit taller, ..it has a larger pixel size: 0.292mm as opposed to 0.285mm on the 19".

931BW R 1,599 SAMSUNG 19" Wide TFT LCD ,1440 x 900, 0.285(PP), 300 cd/m² 500:1,2ms Response Time, 15pin D-sub input,DVI-D input (D-sub cable supplied), 160 degree viewing angle - BLK

203BS R 1,799 SAMSUNG 20" a-si TFT/LCD , 1400 x 1050, 0.292mm(PP), 300 cd/m², 600:1, 8ms Response Time, 15pin D-sub input,DVI-D input (D-sub cable supplied), 160 degree viewing angle - BLK

Now I'm gonna use it to play games and watch movies, ..so widescreen they'll be the same, but if I'm watching a dvd or tv series file, the aspect may still be 4:3, ..so then on the 19" it'll be 17" fullscreen size.

Only thing is I think the 19" is the better quality monitor, gets great reviews. While the 20" has larger pixels, extra 150 pixels in height, 8ms response (19" - 2ms) and I can't find a single piece of info on it on google, aside from a few SA sites selling it..

Any help?

mr e i would not go 19" wide as everything look squashed

try and save up for a 22"inch wide

you can pick them up for under 2.2k ex vat
