Hi there,

I know this is a little off-topic.. but I have noticed something
really fishy with Virgin Mobile's billing system.

A few months ago I ported to Virgin Mobile from Vodacom and started
checking my bill to see my savings in terms of SMS's.

According to the Virgin price list Virgin to Virgin SMS'es are billed
at R0.20 per message.

Here is the interesting part...

To date I have not been billed .20c for any of my sms's - although
many people I work with have ported to VM.

When I queried this with Virgin Mobile I was told that they have no
way of knowing if someone has ported .... and as such they can't bill
me the lower amount.

--- but if I call them, they will retrospectivly fix it..

I think this is crazy.

Anyone on this forum also notice this ?

When i was with virgin i checked my account balance all the time cause my credit would just vanish. One minute you got like R150,00 in your account the next you only got R101,00. When you call them and ask why they just give you the run around. Best thing to do is reset all your phones counters everytime you load airtime and check it from there. Only then will you see the TRUTH and it shall SET U FREE!! lol

Hi stevenpi,

Pls note that you will pay r20/sms if the subscriber has succesifully ported to virgin Mobile. You can get that info from the people you sending SMS to. Should you need a more detailed info regarding you account pls PM me your number. i will call & check it with you. Should there be any credit due, this will be credited to your account.

just don't call V Mobile's directory enquiries, they are charged at standard rates. At least that's when I was still on prepaid, used up my airtime asking for a phone number. On Cell C Dir enquiries are free.
