This was casually posted today in the middle of 8800GT mania. :p

And a small summary for those who don't like Chinese/English non-Firefox (get Opera) pages: http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3882&Itemid=1

Doesn't look great, but at least these chips are suppose to be cheap. It also wasn't a totally fair comparison...

Btw, I'd say it's safe to say Crysis is not optimised for Quad core systems at all, the E6750 at 3Ghz (all the chips were clocked to 3Ghz for comparison) performs virtually the same as the other parts.

I think I'm now officially decision-less. I’m giving the market 1.5 Months, then I’m buying my PC. Can’t take these constant updates updates updates updates :p

Ja, all of the new parts will be here by the end of November, then once all the benchies are (officially) out you can make a choice.

Buying anything now is probably not a good idea.

Sigh, and I was hoping AMD would release a proper Quad Core CPU... :(

The QX9650 didn't really outperform the rest by a big margin, though...

It can compete in price, doesn't matter if it can't compete on the very high end, that's a tiny part of the market and not what I'm worried about anyway. The midrange parts with AMD/ATI's current pricing could still be good.

That's AM2 platform, AM2+ has better memory configuration options :P
Anyway, its one game people and you'll see the results are very close, lets wait for other results... The Yorkfiled and Kentsfield in that chart are very close yet the yorkfield is much faster.
