8800 GT vs 8800GTS 320mb

i got a 8800GTS in the pipeline, but i am seeing more and more reports of the 8800 GT.

what is the best option, consider price as well.
games i am interested in playing:
UT3
GOW PC
and a bit of crysis

From what i have seen the 8800gt will be the one to get.. cheap to!
 
The 8800GT outperforms both the 320MB and 640MB 8800GTS cards. It even comes close to the 8800GTX.

It is also cheaper than the 320MB 8800GTS.

So the 8800GT is the clear choice.
 
8800GT, you could probably pick up a cheap GTS considering how everyone is trying to get rid of them in the wake of the GT.
Only hassle is who will want to take the big hit in price when selling a GTS?
 
8800GT! Read the reviews. Getting one myself -upgrading from a 7800GTX :)
 
The Prophecy Hardware site has some excellent deals on these. Note that there's a new range of GTS's to come, which are intended to perform better than the GT's, although right now, the current run of GT's are really excellent value.
 
Im keen for an 8800GT considering i will be upgrading from my current 6600GT
 
Heh, pretty much.
I play mainly BF2 which it runs without hassles but its a no go with things like bioshock etc.

me wonders what the next new 8800 will be like - ie if the 8800GT is this good, whats the top o therange gonna do...

probably going to be 55/45Nm 768/1024 GDDR3/4 other than that 500+ shaders, 2.5Ghz clocks lol who knows :)
 
I see prophecy are doing deals on them for R2449 for the 512MB version OC card too!
In my opinion the GTS is going to struggle for a bit considering pricing.

Apparently the GTS is being revamped, including a few perfomance improvements that the 8800GT introduced and newer range of GTS cards will follow. I'd still opt for the GT right now though, since it's good value.

Or you could wait for the HD 3850 for $199 or less only 10% less performance than a 8800GT "rumored" :confused: otherwise it's waitr for launch!
