So I finally bought the game and battled to install it.

Everytime I loaded the dvd it would reboot my pc, but finally I updated my gfx card drivers ( Nvidia's 8600GT 36MB driver) and it didnt behave funny anymore.

The 2nd issue then is the game complained about security conflicts with daemon tools etc and even after installing yasu and/or disabling all my virtual drives the game still wouldnt run.

Eventually I had to resort to finding a cracked EXE to run the game. So either it's my pc being silly, or EA's programming not being too friendly... eitherway its much easier now to play the game without having to insert the dvd each time.

I'm keen to see what online play is like, i've only played a couple of minutes, eventually getting the gold wings after 121293861231235 botched landings with the parachutes.

It's rather cool how they have reward systems for single player mode that works much the same as online.

what do you guys think of the game?

Was only just given it today (Xbox360 ver) so I'll have to get back to you on that but I have high hopes. :)

Played the demo and was pleasantly surprised. Perhaps a little too arcade like but the graphics were good and well optimized for PC users. I really enjoyed it.

@ Voicy

You got a fear of heights or something :D. My first landing was a disaster but after that no problems :cool:

hehehe ... fear of heights? Ye totally... this is me and Rocket-Boy with our chutes not opening :/

Everytime i landed i was near the smoke, but my problem is i kept pressing every possible button to find out which one was " flare ", only EVENTUALLY did I realise to flare you have to HOLD spacebar, and not just tap it once. So i always knocked my face in...

But the game looks ORSM. I just hope my pc handles the rest of the game play.

I run everything on high with my 8800GTS 340mb. Smooth as silk. One of the best graphics engines I've played.

Says the man with a friggen 8800GTS !

I'm sitting with an 8600GT which is cool, but my pc is an athlon 3000+ and 1gb ddr400 :/

but ya, it runs on the unreal engine which has always been orsm.

Now see, that's what happens when you play too much BF2142 and go back to BF2 ... instead of pressing 9 for parachute, you smack the spacebar button flat out until you faceplant the gravel.

It was really funny playing on the bf2 servers just after guys stopped playing bf2142 and went back to bf2. everyone flunked out on opening their chutes with spacebar instead of 9.

it looked like a good video for the song " it's raining men "

Yeah in my fist attempt I hit the side of a buliding roof slid off and went splat on the ground. At least I was in the sort of right area. Still I "died" alone but not in front of laughing krauts :D

EDIT: Not Krauts but Italians

Medal of Honour is ORSM! *Ive ordered a copy of Call of Duty 4 anyway :D *
 
I've only completed the first mission but I'm loving it. No chance I'm going to get done with it by Sat though when CoD4 is available locally. :o
