I must say, I still enjoy my 8600GT DDR3 256mb card. I got it for R1300 a few months back and for general gaming its more than lovely.
The 8800GT would be the obvious choice to go for if you're into gaming, but for guys who don't want to spend too much on a card and aren't into hectic frame rates and whatnot, i would recommend the 8600GT by all means.
