Previously I had problems getting hold of airtime for Virgin mobile, now a new problem has arisen: I can't even LOAD airtime anymore without having to call the 123 sort me out number.

It's happened 3 times in a row now, I phoned yesterday lay the complaint she tells me she'll look into it and load my airtime by today, today they tell me Monday! PATHETIC SERVICE VIRGIN MOBILE!!! I haven't spent that much money on airtime before (about R50-R100 a month) but I've got a new job now and I have money to spend on airtime, but I can't even get it loaded. Oh did I mention they expect you to FAX the slip to them to prove you have it: They think I'm a crook, 3 times in a row already!!! no matter how many times I tell them it's happened before they do nothing to rectify the situation.

I'm officially warning anyone to stay away from them, they're friendly but they don't get anything done. All they had to do to keep me as a customer was to allow me to actually add airtime in a user friendly manner but they can't even do that, hope for their sake I'm the only customer, Vodacom here I come!

Well what i do is load airtime to my sim from a teller machine, like nedbank for me, always works.

I see Pick 'n Pay don't stock airtime now (Constantia CPT) and Checkers are often 'out of stock'.

I agree with you guy's 100%, Virgin Mobile doesn't give a rat's
*** about it's client's. I used to spend between R500-R1000
per month with them, mostly for internet access. Ive now switched,
to Vodacom and not only do i get better service i also get 3g/HSDPA
speed's at only 19cents per mb and only spend R400 per month, and still
have mb left at the end of the month to download mp3's or what have you. Dont let them fool you with the "TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE RUBBISH" cause it's all a hype and nothing more.

i know i have said that virgin data ws ok...but with the airtime yeap thare a problem, i phoned them to sort it out and as stated the told me to fax it to them gave it about an hour and it came..........:confused: but thats not right

I still don't understand how virtual vouchers can be out of stock. :confused:

Yeah well imagine going through that 3 times in a row, VERY FRUSTRATING :mad:

Seems I'm not the only one, things aren't looking good for them. They need to sort out their operations ASAP or it's bye bye for them.

If anyone is interested in a free R50 Virgin Mobile airtime voucher send me a pm, I've ported my number to Vodacom and Virgin never credited the R50 voucher to my account so it's useless to me now, I can give you the pin number the control number everything, it might just be a hassle to get it charged since after phoning 3 times they still haven't charged the credit as promised but if you want to give it a try then be my guest

EDIT: Another member already claimed the R50 voucher so it's gone now, and GO FIGURE it loaded on their phone with the simple *102*pin# combo that never worked for me. I hate virgin mobile!

The "Why Virgin?" section on the virginmobile.co.za site states, "When it comes to all things mobile - Virgin gives you more. We offer a better deal, a better service and a fresh way of doing things."

I guess if you complained to the Advertising Standards Authority about Virgin not living up to their advertisements I am sure you will get a quick response from them. ;)

Ohh my word Im sOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick of virgin mobiles internet being off every single day from about 6pm-11:30pm they say its traffic but I dont care I pay I want the service. People dont I warn you do not change to Virgin Mobile. Just not yet. rather go to MTN or Vodacom. Coz mxit at night is out if you have virgin mobile!
