MTN down in Stellenbosch all day

Is it just me or was MTN down all day in Stellenbosch. Could connect but then there was no transmission of data.

Anybody else?
 
Great, thanks for that, I went to an MTN shop here in Kenilworth and she called the technicians who said to call 0839001212 with the phone in question.

It ain't my phone, it worked really well with Edge on Sunday only to suck Monday and Today Tuesday without any changes, so, it ain't me dudes!
 
The MTN GPRS network is down again, in Stellenbosch, again, for the whole day, again, with MTN not doing anything about it, again.

I can connect to the network, but then there is no data transmission, again.

Please could you email the MTN rep for WP again for me Snakepit, that should sort it out albeit for Monday.

MTN - no Internet

I have been battling with my MTN service since Thursday. Tried my E220 on 4 computers, same story : shows connected but no browsing possible, "Page cannot be displayed". Called 808, MTN told me to DELETE THE COOKIES... No Comment.

VPN's to work place also non working.

Centurion / Pta area.

Anybody else having these kind of problems?

I had the same problem yesterday in Sharon lea from like 08:00 am til about 15:00pm, was trying to log onto resistence fall of man for multiplayer gaming, kept butting me out with a dns error- i played a considerable amount on Saturday so it wasnt my settings- these okes were playing with me i tell you:mad:

Came back on after 15:00 like nothing ever happened:rolleyes:
 
Well I did make an irate phone call and gave her my two cents when she started asking me what phone I was using and what the error message I was receiving was.

Um, lady, are you listening, I told you I can connect but then the connection is idle, no data coming either way, but I was obviously doing something wrong, couldn't possibly have been them, I reckon that was about 6pm...

Then about 5 minutes later, all was fine so I dunno...:)
 
It seems my (2y warrantee) E220 is broken after ~10 months, on my request to MTNSP re duration for repair, this is what they reply:

"Ongelukkig huur ons nie datakaarte uit nie , en ons weet ook nie van iemand wat dit uithuur nie.

Ons sal die kaart moet weg stuur wat so 4-8 weke neem om reg gemaak te word."

4-8 WEEKS? For a simple data card repair? While still paying my monthly contract fees? :mad:

MTN has been down completely for data since yesterday evening.

Not just Stellenbosch.

At least the data support people know about it, but are not prepared to predict when it will be fixed.

I wonder what would happen if you bought a big data bundle and your last day to use it was today ...!!

You could rent a card from rentafone.net Maybe just the card and use your MTN sim, just be careful for a network locked card.
