Crysis Review

Now if i only had the hardware to play the dam thing... ;)

They really only catered for the top end of the market with this game, the fact that a top of the range card of 18 months ago barely plays the game on low settings is shocking...unless i'm behind with times and cards have to be upgraded every 6 months ;)

This game might cause me to sell my 8800GTS once the 9-series is been released :p

my 5200gl graphics card in my nw8440 laptop runs the crysis demo at least, which is fine by me.

it runs it, but how does it look?

I have the XFX 7800GTX 512MB XXX edition and all settings is automatically on low... it looks crappy to me. It does run smoothly, just the quality is very poor imo. Hopefully the GT will do a better job than the old 7800 ;)

The damn game is made to run nicely on technology that doesn't even exist (weeps into a teaspoon). Oh well, I'm not gonna touch AA with a tenfoot pole unless I want my computer to melt. I'm sure insurance won't cover a computer that is running Crysis. :D

I wonder what it looks like at 2560 res with 16xAA 16xAF all on very high...with smooth performance. That's probably...3 years in the future's tech? :D

Quad crossfire on a 4Ghz Penryn? It miiight be possible :p EDIT: Oh right, 16X AA, nevermind.

A year or two ago the top hardware was always overkill. Now even the 8800Ultra can't play Crysis and Bioshock etc on the highest possible settings. Too bad SLI isn't the best technology around.

It's always a waste to splash R7000 on the top end video card...it dies along with its brethren just as soon. One game to crush them all ^_^ I'm just pissed off that nvidia is going to release a new 8800GTS with more shader processors. If I could trade mine in for one, sure. But I don't think I can. It's sad :(

Even without AA..This game really brings almost any PC out der crushing to its knees...

I remember about a year ago, think with the latest splinter cell release back then. People complained that ubisoft, only used the newest shader models and did not cater for backward compatibility. And everyone was" crysis will show ubisoft, it will cater for both", "can't wait for crysis, everyone will play it and ubisoft will die a slow death", "death to ubisoft for aonly doing xbox ports".

Strange, that train of thought has gone a little silent now, mostly just murmurs now
