The total number of complaints received during the last financial year was 924 of which 679 were closed and 245 are pending.
It is uncertain what the number 34 pertains to and it appears to not refer to a specific complaints category.
The report also indicates that there were no complaints about ADSL Port prioritization or ADSL Service Level Agreements which once again is highly questionable.
I would suppose that the 679 that were closed may have been duplicates of other complaints or complaints that were not correctly submitted.
People filing complaints did not comply with the simple submission process:
- Must be filed in all of the 11 official SA languages;
- Submissions must be on government issue rainbow coloured paper;
- It must be noted that any complaints of a negative nature will be deemed as unpatriotic and damaging to the country and will be filed automatically under S for Shredder.
The Annual Report indicates that there were no complaints regarding ‘ADSL Local bandwidth capping’
ICASA Consumer Complaint Ref CT/G362/07
True true, i am sure they don't work for free and unlike telkom (which has a virtually unlimited budget) some people can't afford legal representationIt would seem to me that you (RPM) are preparing us for an obvious negative response from the CCC regarding the uncapping of local bandwidht? Probably because you are use to loosing, or just because we did not prepare well enough for the CCC... (having no legal representation present is just silly)
Nice idea. Class action only works in USAThe questions is; What are you going to do for us in escallating the problem to the highest level? How are you going to rally the memebers of this forum to setup a class action suite against Telkom?
The more people who know about telkoms bad deeds the better.I received very positive feedback from a few members yesterday that myADSL use to focus on finding solutions, but now we seem to focus on the negative. Since you have been involved and taking the lead on this for many years, what actions are you going to take on this?![]()
The Annual Report indicates that there were no complaints regarding ‘ADSL Local bandwidth capping’ which is most likely untrue as ICASA has itself held hearings into this issue which stemmed from complaints about non-compliance with this regulation.
The report also indicates that there were no complaints about ADSL Port prioritization or ADSL Service Level Agreements which once again is highly questionable.
Rooi Willie, do you work for Telkom?
Most of us use their technology to converse on this forum, for that they never seem to get any credit.

Do you have a plan? How can we help you execute it?
