Deleting unwanted 3rd party icon in iTunes

Next prob:

I installed one of those artwork finders for my iTunes library (Fetch Art for iTunes 1.3.11).

The app installed this icon in the menu bar.

I deleted the app with CleanApp to get rid of it since it was not working properly - it has however left the icon in the menu bar when iTunes is open (clicking it brings up the 'choose app' window).

Any idea where I can get rid of it/ delete it.

When you installed it did it ask to install for all users or just your own?

Chances are that there is something remaining under ~/Library or /Library that is doing it. Should be easy to find from the terminal using find if you have an idea of the names it might be under.

If you need more specific terminal help I am willing to try and assist.
 
I distinctly remember installing for all users - was one of the few times a app asked that on an install.

I have done a search in spotlight for the name of the app but nothing.

From the terminal try the following:

find /Library -iname "appname"
or
find ~/Library -iname "appname"
 
have you tried command () + dragging it off?

EDIT - btw it looks just like the apple script logo.
 
Found the bugger: a script file in /Library/iTunes/Scripts/Fetch Art.scpt

Do I just delete it?

EDIT: Yup deleted it and its gone - Thanks guys

EDIT: BTW Bwana Command and drag does not do it.

I am not sure, probably.

To be safe just move it to Trash first and try reopen iTunes and see if all is well.
