Those folks still using Virgin's extra-slow service will be pleased to hear that you will get a few rand's worth of airtime when you recharge.

I loaded R35 today and got R40 airtime.

It comes in handy when MTN is down (like today:eek:).

Still not worth it until they change the price to be more competitive. Cell C has now revised their prices so nothing's stopping them unless they want to milk people like everybody else.

50c is about as cheap as they can go... i mean they're not even tying you in with having to buy a bundle with no rollover. worth it if ur ADSL/HSDPA connection goes down, u can just put like a little cash on and you actually get to keep what you pay for! none of this month by month cap rubbish.

50c was the price of a bundle. Now everyone's bundles (including Cell C) are less. If they can not go lower then they simply won't get my business.

I just don't get the sms which I received: Like Rudolph, we also the light the way......etc.

Who the heck is Rudolph? I hope they aren't talking about rpm

VM can't do sums:

The SMS says; "We r giving u bonus airtime (15% in fact!) everytime u VCharge"

So if I recharge by buying a R35 voucher and get R5 extra - that isn't 15% more.

OK, I'm pissed of now, I just bought R500 worth of airtime but only received R180  this better be the bonus airtime.

Virgins 50c is the out of bundle price. Agreed that all the othe networks "in-bundle" cost is cheaper - but all of their out of bundle cost is still R2 pmeg. I'm not into having to buy bundles - so 50c for whenever I want to use it is ideal.

I bought airtime specifically after reading this thread about the bonus and hoping to get a 15% return, now after sending my complaint to Virgin Customer service(they where quick though) they said that their records show a purchase of R180, but R500 was deducted from my Bank account using FNB cell banking, so I sent them my transaction history which was requested, now I have to wait 24 hours.

This sucks

How much credit did you actually get. If they say you got R180, then what about the bonus?

This is good news, bought R50 and got R57 - so that is about 44 cents a meg - sod bundles, some times I need all the money I can get

Bonus is just the bait

Dont be fooled by there 15% bonus crap story, they gonna
steal it back with interest anyway.lol There is only one thing
you can be sure of when it comes to virgin mobile.

They WILL promise you the world, they WILL take your money,
and WILL end up having to beg them for what you paid for.

Oh and you WILL find out the hard way that "The truth shall set you
free" actually means We will screw you over till you cant take it
anymore and decide to port back to vodacom.
