Anyone have crysis yet. I have the demo but my graphics card can only play it on low settings. Anyone play it on maximum
 
can play on max at 1280x1024 no AA but frame rates suck, so just went with mostly high with a very high option on here and there.

8800gtx
intel Q6600
2 gigs ram
 
Maxed out Crysis looks like real life... having said that real life looks blocky and blurry compaired to Crysis...

I have always had DVD/CD copy programs on my PC :D DVD shrink, Deamon Tools, Magic ISO and never had problems with them but as soon as I installed alchol... :rolleyes:
 
Glordit; same here!
Never ever had games complain and then one day, I just installed Alcohol to check it out (see what's changed since the older version) and bam, like every game complained, even with nothing mounted!
As soon as I uninstalled it, my PC went back to the quiet one I expect it to be :)

I don't think he was talking about that type of alcahol ;)
 
Running alcohol on my system really smoothes the games I play, especially in the beginning, but by the time I get to the final boss, alcohol crashes my drivers, and even the whole system some times.

Has anyone done any of the stuff they show in that short video in the demo, you know, the video where they show off the suits "abilities".

They make it seem so easy..
But jumping over a hummer and then firing at it while in the air (and actually hitting something) is nearly impossible...just like in real life...
 
I dont know about you guys But I think the game is Awsome and it is gonna major fun at a LAN game I can just see 30 or 40 okes having a ball of a time! I had trouble installing the game innitially!

lol, probably a video from Crytek they make the game so they probably got all the leet moves down :D
 
I bought Crysis Special Edition last night ... man, what a beautifully packaged/presented product ... really worth having. It includes a T-Shirt, music CD and a bonus DVD on how the game was made etc. The game DVD's come in a very slick metal-like case. Awesome. Great anti-piracy tool as most gamers will be willing to pay R300 for a game pack like this.

I have a relatively low spec rig (AMD 64 3800+, 1GB RAM, nVidia 7600GS) so I didn't expect it to play the game at all ... but to my surprise it works well. Yes, it is at low settings, but Crysis at low equals most other games at higher settings.
 
This game is killing me!!! Well in the guise of my wife, frowning cause I am spending less and less time with her, and more time SAVING THE WORLD!!! C'mon woman! Get your priorities straight!!

Yeah! Tell them Gothan! They don't appreciate the effort we put in to keep them safe. One day we may be invaded by aliens and then only we - the gamers of this world - will know what to do. We are now going through the scenarios and simulations so that they can then be safe. Why can't people get this? :D
 
... when that day comes (and it will) I'm going to claim back from the UN all the money and time spent on preparations ... and I will be rich ... and my wife too ... so she'll be happy then.

See, you just have to explain to your wife there is a plan. It all makes sense.
