Hi there.

I have a Senao SL-3054CB3 plus deluxe access point that I've been using with success over a 1.7km link for well over 2 years. Recently though, I moved the antenna to a different location on our roof, and things went awry as soon as I plugged everything back in.

Whenever the network cable leading to the AP is plugged into our switch, our ADSL connection, which uses PPPoE and a d-link modem, spits out various errors, refusing to connect, and all the lights on our switches blink constantly. There are some networking issues such as that I can't access certain PCs from my PC. The network acts very strangely in general, and although the wireless works under these conditions, we can't connect to the internet.

As soon as I plug out the cable leading to AP, everything returns to normal and we are able to use the internet. I have already replaced the hub, used a different network cable, and a different SL-3054CB3 from a friend, and the same problem comes up all round. (Already rebooted everything, reset factory settings, etc. - no luck)

Could a firmware update do any good? If so, where can I find the firmware for this unit? Googling was quite fruitless.

Any help would be appreciated!

It seems like I was able to solve the problem by popping another network card into the server, and plugging the adsl modem into it. Now the ADSL pppoe is on a different network than the wireless, and so far it seems to be working.

Sounds like a dns problem (might be wrong though). Flush dns on your workstation.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. As it turns out, after I disabled the DHCP server on the access point (which we don't use any way) everything returned to normal.
