Firefox 2.0.0.11 chewing up CPU like a mofo..

No problem with CPU usage, it's usually between 5-15% with everything that I have running. But it is a memory hog.

Mine's fine to say the least ;)

Google for Firefox reset. Reset your settings and see if it makes a difference ;) Remember to backup your bookmarks and write down which extensions you use.

FF only uses 40mb RAM on my Vista Ultimate at the moment, I've only got myadsl open though ;)

Well I had maybe 3-5 tabs open at any time but that shouldn't cause it to crap out.

It was fine with 2.0.0.10, I think this update is screwed. I'm on XP BTW..

My cpu usage goes to max about 5% and ff uses about 65 mb when only one tab is open. this on my system with vista x64.

yea but xp and vista will suffer alot of the same problems, everyone thinks vista is a whole new OS

i experience alot of the same kuk in vista that i did with xp

Mine was fine, but suddenly it jumped up to 99% CPU usage. OK. I have got 45 tabs open, but a few minutes ago it was hitting 20% usage.

Edit: I found the culprit: Antec's website. As soon as I closed it, CPU usage dropped back to acceptable levels.

I usually have 4-7 tabs open and have noticed it's a major memory hog ... and have to close and restart it. I've not noticed anything with the CPU though.

On XP it's only using 33Mb. I think FF are having problems. There have been quite a few updates in a relatively short space of time.

I frequently have 10 tabs open and not a memory problem. I was having some issues with certain websites.

Firefox seems to max out at 27MB when I have multiple tabs open that only use html/php/asp etc. The cpu also never jumps higher than 6%.

When opening fancy flash sites the memory usage seems to increase by about 25mb per tab but the cpu never jumps above 6%

Im on Win XP home and no extentions are loaded.

Your fox sure aint normal..

Well like Skeptik says, there have been a few updates in close succession so I'm thinking that some users like me are affected by some bugs, I guess.

.11 was rushed out to fix bugs from .10, now it looks like it has more problems.

Oh well Opera ftw anyway. :D

mine is fine mostly but i notice every now and then when i have multiple tabs open then when a page loads it sometimes freezes, maybe some scripts don't work well with it?
